A brother and sister pair, Lois Margolet and her brother Alan, started the first Capriottis together in 1976.
The shop was in a small town in Delaware, literally a boarded up building below their apartment complex.
They named the shop after their grandpa whose last name was Capriotti, and who loved to cook. Plus the name Capriotti just sounds cool in my opinion.
They set their brand apart by creating super fresh turkey sandwiches, which they were able to do by roasting entire turkeys overnight, so they would be ready to serve to customers fresh first thing in the morning.
Word spread, and by 1987 they were opening multiple locations all throughout Delaware.
Today there are over 100 Capriottis locations in the US, with 35 in Southern Nevada.

- At the end of the survey, write down the survey validation code onto your receipt

Something must be wrong with this system. Each receipt I try to enter does not allow me to enter my bar code or take the TELLCAPRIOTTIS.COM survey. This is at least the 8th receipt that will not allow access even though it’s within the timeline.
